Half-Day Trip to the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein

This trip leads along the route of the Grand Tour of Switzerland to the Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall, and the charming village of Stein am Rhein.

The route leads through a beautiful wine-growing region with charming farming villages to the Rhine Falls, close to the German border. The highlights of the tour include a visit to the medieval Laufen Castle and to the largest waterfall in Europe, the Rhine Falls. In the course of a leisurely stroll along the Belvedere panoramic trail to the Känzeli viewing platform, directly above the falls, you can feel the spray from the swirling waters at close quarters. During the summer season, it is also possible to take a short boat ride on the turbulent water in the falls basin (surcharge: adults CHF 10, children CHF 5).

The tour continues via Schaffhausen to the medieval village of Stein am Rhein. During a guided walk through the well-preserved Old Town, participants can admire half-timbered houses adorned with decorative frescoes. After some free time, the coach heads back to Zurich.
