Crest Hike Stoos

This ridge hike treats walkers to a fascinating view of more than 10 Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks.

Route Description

This hike starts with a ride on the funicular, which transports guests up to the car-free village of Stoos at 1,300m (4,265ft) above sea level. After a brief walk through the small mountain village, the chairlift takes hikers to the summit of the Klingenstock. This marks the beginning of the hike along the ridge, which offers a breathtaking view of more than 10 Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks in Central Switzerland. Apart from the fascinating panorama, there is also a wide variety of Alpine flowers to discover. The ridge hike can also be undertaken in the opposite direction, for there is a chairlift at both ends of the trail to take visitors up or down the mountainside.
