Boucherie AuGust

AuGust is the first restaurant on Rennweg – the boucherie-brasserie serves meat and sausage specialties for gourmets in a convivial, down-to-earth ambiance.

The Zunft zum Widder (butchers’ and cattle merchants’ guild) has been based at this historic location on Rennweg since 1401. Today, the Boucherie AuGust restaurant pays homage to the butcher’s trade. The menu features Swiss classics, as well as various meat and sausage specialties, which are served throughout the day by the team led by head chef Tino Staub.

When the weather is cold, the hustle and bustle on Rennweg can be observed in comfort through the large window fronts. In the warmer summer months, guests are lured onto the street outside.
