Museum Neuthal Textil- und Industriekultur

This museum, housed within the historical walls of a former spinning mill, provides an insight into 200 years of industrialization and the textile industry.

In the former spinning mill of Adolf Guyer-Zeller, guests can immerse themselves in the industrial heyday of the region around Neuthal. Four main themes are presented within the history-steeped factory walls: hydropower, spinning, weaving, and embroidery.

Visitors can learn all about the use of hydropower, view a fascinating collection of weaving machines with pieces dating from 1860 to 1996, and discover how the home and factory workers lived in bygone days and what their employer, Adolf Guyer-Zeller, had to do with the Jungfrau Railway.

Numerous volunteers from the Neuthal Industrial Heritage Association devote themselves to the preservation of the machines and take interested visitors on a guided tour through the museum.
