Rigi in Summer

The enchanting mountain in Central Switzerland is ideal for a day trip: the Rigi offers a host of options for both young and old.

It is known as the “Queen of the Mountains” – and anyone who has been on the Rigi can easily see why. For it is surrounded by a breathtaking panorama.

In the warm months of the year, there are all kinds of ways to enjoy the refreshing mountain air. For example, by hiking over meadows strewn with Alpine flowers and through pleasantly shady forests, on simple, wide paths that are also suitable for baby buggies or on more challenging routes for the surefooted. Alternatively, visitors can ride up and down on the mountain railways and cableways, let off steam in the rope park and at the various playgrounds – or, of course, grill something tasty to eat at any of the many BBQ sites.

The Rigi is a mountain for all the family; children even travel free on some of the mountain transport facilities.
